On The Road Again.

Before we start I need to make a correction. The grammarian pointed out that Olga never got a ten, 9.8 being her best score. The first ten was awarded to Nadia Comaneci.

Tomorrow is the day the Associate Editors are gathering to both fish and make fun of my fly tying. I have been trying a number of different places in hopes of giving them good advice on where to fish. Went past a place I've often fished and there was a guy there fishing on Monday and again today. On my way back to the Lordville Estate I saw him in his pickup talking on the phone, pulled over, got out of the car, still in my waders and walked over to his truck, he held up a finger, then when the conversation went on and on he shook his head and made the yack, yack, yack sign with his hand, finally he was able to hang up and we had a conversation about fishing. He caught six fish, (all yearling rainbows), there on Sunday, fished there Monday and Tuesday, and never caught another fish, (there is a lesson to be learned, if only you would listen). He's from Indiana and was leaving so he could get home in time to take his wife, who is in a nursing home, to a trivia night on Wednesday which he said she enjoys. He said it's a ten hour drive each way, loves his wife and the Delaware.

The fishing - Strange day to say the least. Have, over the past two or three weeks, caught between three and seven fish most days, almost all rainbows, and mostly all between 15 and 18 inches. Today the first five fish I caught were rainbows between 10 and 12 inches, thankfully the last two were 17 and 18. There were the small olives, Cahills, isos, white flies and spinners on the BR tonight. I saw but one rise except to my flies, and he didn't even bother to refuse my offerings.

Hopefully Thursday there will be some comments from people who caught fish or at least enjoyed their meatball sub from BC's in Deposit.
